of the People¡¯s Bank of China [2005] No.6 |
¡¡¡¡ The People¡¯s Bank of China will
issue a set of coins commemorating the 600th anniversary
of Zhenghe¡¯s Voyage to the West. This set consists 2 coins
in all, one is gold, the other is silver. All the coins
are the legal tender of the People¡¯s Republic of China.
¡¡¡¡ I. Designs of the commemorative coins
¡¡¡¡ i. the obverse design:
¡¡¡¡ The common obverse design features the colored logo
of the commemorative activities of the 600th anniversary
of Zhenghe¡¯s Voyage to the West, with the title of the
People¡¯s Republic of China, and the issuance year.
¡¡¡¡ ii. the reverse design:
¡¡¡¡ i>. The reverse design on the 1/2oz. gold coin features
the effigy of Zhenghe, and Chinese Characters ¡®ÇÕ²îÕýʹ¡ªÖ£ºÍ¡¯,
and the face value.
¡¡¡¡ ii>. The reverse design on the 1oz. silver coin
features compass, heroscope, the sketch map of the disposition
of the fleet, as well as the face value.
¡¡¡¡ II. The specifications and mintages
¡¡¡¡ i. The 1/2oz. gold coin is proof finished, contains
1/2oz. of pure gold, 99.9% in purity, round in shape,
27mm in diameter, 200Yuan in face value, and the mintage
is 6000pc.
¡¡¡¡ ii. The 1oz. silver coin is proof finished, contains
1oz. of pure silver, 99.9% in purity, round in shape,
40mm in diameter, 10Yuan in face value, and the mintage
is 60000pc.
¡¡¡¡ III. This set of commemorative coins were minted by
Shenyang Mint, and distributed by China Gold Coin Incorporation. |
