The People’s Bank of China
will issue a set of panda commemorative gold and silver coins
for the 50th
Anniversary of China Construction Bank on Oct.1, 2004. This
set of commemorative coins comprises one gold coin
and one silver coin, all of which are the legal tender of
the Republic of China.
I. Design of the coins:
This set of commemorative coins share common designs on
both the obverse and the reverse sides. The common
obverse design features the Hall of Praying for Good Harvest
of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, and the title of
the PRC, year 2004, as well as Chinese characters “中国建设银行成立五十周年纪念”；

features the image of a mother panda and her baby, and characters
“50th Anniversary of China Construction Bank”
II. The specifications and mintages:
i. the 1/4oz. gold bullion coin contains 1/4oz. of pure
gold, round in shape, 22mm in diameter, 100Yuan in
face value, 99.9% in purity, the mintage is 60,000pc.
ii. the 1oz. silver bullion coin contains 1oz. of pure silver,
round in shape, 40mm in diameter, 10Yuan in
face value, 99.9% in purity, the mintage is 170,000pc.
III. This set of gold and silver commemorative coins were
minted by Shenzhen Guobao Mint, and exclusively
distributed by China Gold Coin Incorporation. |
