| The People's
Bank of China determines to issue a set of Sichuan Sanxingdui
Commemorative Coins on 10 July 2002. Each set contains 2 coins,
one is gold, the other is silver, they are legal tender of The
People's Republic of China. |
1. The designs
of the commemorative coins
(1) The obverse design:
Every coin of this set bears the same design of Sichuan Sanxingdui
Museum Scape on its obverse side, together with the title of
PRC and the issuing year.
(2) The reverse design:
1> 1/2 oz. gold commemorative coins bears the pattern of
the bronze mask with protruding pupils and the denomination.
2> 2 oz. silver commemorative coins bears the pattern of
a bronze image with gold mask, and the denomination.
2. The specification and mintage of the commemoraive coins
1> 1/2 oz. gold commemorative coins are proof finished, each
minted with 1/2 oz. pure gold, circular in shape, 27mm in diameter,
200 Yuan in denomination, 99.9% in fineness, with a total mintage
of 5000pc..
2> 2 oz. silver commemorative coins are proof finished, each
minted with 2 oz. pure silver, circular in shape, 20 Yuan in
denomination, 99.9% in fineness, with a total mintage of 30,000pc.. |

3. This set of commemorative coins are minted
separately by Shenzhen Guobao MintĄ˘Shenyan Mint, solely distributed
by China Gold Coin Incorporation.
