The People's Bank of China will issue a set of Silver Coin Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Founding of

China Table Tennis Team on November 8, 2002. This set consists of one silver coin, which is the legal tender of the

People's Republic of China.

I. The designs on the coin

i. The obverse design

The obverse design depicts the national emblem, table tennis ball, the colored ribbon linked with the table tennis bat,

the title of the PRC and the issuing year.

ii. The reverse design

The reverse design features the Five-Starred Red Flag with the year marks that China attended the World Table Tennis

Title Match, the sculpts of the World Table Tennis Title Match Cups, the Chinese words of "the 50th Anniversary of the

Founding of China Table Tennis Team" and the face value.

II. The specification and mintage of the coin

This set of coin is proof in quality, 1 ounce in weight, round in shape, 40mm in diameter, 10yuan in face value, 99.9% in

fineness and the mintage is 50,000 pieces.
