¡óJanuary
11th 2002, under the lead of Zhang Shuangxiang --- office head
of the leading group of the Olympic Games
Commemorative Coins Project¡¢vice director of the Currency and
Bullion Bureau, several group members had a business
talk with the marketing development department of the Beijing
Olympic Games Committee, topics are mainly on the
issuance volume and the use of the special permitted rights.
This is the first official contact between the two sides since
the
founding of the Beijing Olympic Committee.
¡óDecember 5th 2001, director
of the Currency and Bullion Bureau of the PBC.--- Ye Yingnan
chaired the 1st plenary
session of the leading office of the Olympic Games Commemorative
Coins Project, assigned recent works and made a
work mobilization.
¡óNovember 11th 2001, the
leading office of the Olympic Games Commemorative Coins Project
had a working conference
with the marketing development group of the preparatory office
of the Beijing Olympics Committee. The secretary group
introduced concerned conditions of the founding of the leading
group of the Olympic Games Commemorative Coins Project
and the preparatory woks made by CGCI and China Banknote Printing
and Minting Inc., reported the tentative ideas of the
PBC on the project; the preparatory office introduced organizations
in charge of the marketing development work, reported
the development of their work¡¢tentative timetable¡¢the design
of the logo¡¢using of the special permitted rights, and
raised several problems need to be paid special attention. This
is the first official mutual communication between the two
parts, and they planed to contact frequently.
¡óNovember 2nd 2001, the
PBC. established the leading group of 2008 Olympic Games Commemorative
Coins Project,
deputy governor of the PBC.--- Shi Jiliang was appointed the
group leader, the members are leaders from the Currency and
Bullion Bureau¡¢China Banknote Printing and Minting Inc.¡¢CGCI¡¢China
Numismatics Museum. The leading group
established management office, and divided into four groups:
secretary group¡¢project planning group¡¢design and
production group and propaganda and promotion group, members
are from the general office and the above mentioned
bureau and corporations.
¡óOct. 26th-28th 2001, the
2001 Beijing International Coin Exposition was held in Beijing.
During the exposition, the
Exhibition of Commemorative Coins of all Previous Olympic Games
was held, a collection of over 500 Olympic
Commemorative Coins of Mr. Liang Yibin was exhibited at the
exposition.
¡óOct. 11 2001, CGCI made
out the mintage envisagement and the financial calculation plan
of Beijing Olympic Games
Commemorative Coins.
¡óSep. 29th 2001, Working
Plan of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Commemorative Coins Project
formally came into being,
work of the earlier stage of the project formally started.
¡óSep. 25th 2001, the Olympic
Games Commemorative Coins Office had working conference with
officers from the
marketing development department of Beijing Olympic Games Committee,
the topics is mainly on the concerned
regulations of the Olympic Games Commemorative Coins and the
usage of Olympics logo.
¡óSep. 24th 2001, the president
of MDM ltd. German Mr. Dunkir visited CGCI on the selling and
cooperative activities of 2008
Olympic Games Commemorative Coins Project and other sports projects.
¡óSep.3rd-5th 2001, CGCI
held the conference among domestic selling corporations, listen
to advices of selling
corporations in Jiangsu and Shanghai areas on the project. During
the conference selling corporations and collectors in
provinces like Guangdong¡¢Sichuan¡¢Yunnan¡¢Zhejiang sent their
advices to CGCI by letters and facsimiles.
¡óAugust 28th 2001, the Olympic
Games Commemorative Coins office of CGCI had consultative meeting
with concerned
officers of the Beijing Olympic Games Committee on information
about the Olympic Games Commemorative Coins, and
report to the PBC. about the latest information of the issuance
work of the Olympic Games Commemorative Coins and the
preparation works of the Olympic Games Commemorative Coins office.
¡óAugust 20th 2001, CGCI
established the Olympic Games Commemorative Coins Project Office
which is responsible for
the planning and coordinative works. |
