The IOC highly praised the
2008 Olympic Games bidding report of Beijing, and said Olympic
Games held in Beijing will left
for the world a unique precious treasure. In my opinion, this
"unique" is reflected in aspects including Olympic
Games
Commemorative coins, as it is one of the carrier of those spiritual
treasure which can be left for the world.
Facing the reality that Beijing will hold the 2008 Olympic Games,
we need to think of ways to design、develop our own
Olympic Games Commemorative Coins. Personally, I prefer to do
it in the following aspects:
Firstly, do it perfectly. Chinese nation has a time-honored
history which is more than 5000 years. When the Olympic Games
held in this biggest developing country, our commemorative coins
must be the most beautiful、innovative coins and must
perfectly embody the features of Chinese culture, and must surpass
any former Olympic Games.
Secondly, absorb foreign experiences. Foreign countries which
have held Olympic Games are rich in experiences of
develop、design and mint of Olympic Games commemorative coins,
our designers and researchers should step out of
China, to study from countries like Australia、America、Span、Japan、Korea
and so on, absorb their experiences and
utilize for our Olympic Games commemorative coins.
Thirdly, popularize the Olympics knowledge to the masses. While
issuing Olympic Games commemorative coins, we should
popularize Olympics knowledge to the masses, not only issue
precious metal commemorative coins, but also issue low

Fourthly, select the superior one through public bidding. We

Sixthly, combine the wisdom of personages from all walks. The
development of Olympic Games commemorative coins is not
only a matter of the experts and companies, to make it good
and in an all round way, we must gather view points from
experts、designers、artists、companies、collectors、athletes and
