Flag Of The Emblem Of The XXIX Olympiad Finished Its Travel
To The Outer Space, The Handover Ceremony Was Held In Beijing

The handover ceremony of the
'cargo' on Shenzhou V was held in Beijing in 18th Oct. China
Aerospace Science And
Technology Corporation solemnly handed over to BOCOG the flag
of the emblem of the XXIX Olympiad which has been
boarded on Shenzhou V.
Leaders attended the ceremony include Mr. Liu Qi,
member of the Political Bureau of the Central
Committee of the CPC, Party Secretary of the
Beijing municipal government and president of the
BOCOG; Li Jinai, member of the Central Military
Commission of the P.R.C. and Minister of the
Central Equipment Bureau; Zhang Yunchuan,
Director of the Commission of Science
Technology and Industry for National Defence; Wang Qishan, Deputy
Mayor of Beijing, Administrative President of the
BOCOG; Sun Zhengcai, member and secretary of the Standing Committee
of the Beijing municipal government; Zhang
Qingwei, General Manager of China Aerospace Science And Technology
Corporation; Yuan Jiajun, Chief Designer of
Shenzhou V; Liu Jingmin, the Executive Vice-President of the
BOCOG; Duan Shijie, the Vice-President of the BOCOG; Wang
Wei, the Vice-President and Secretary- General of the BOCOG.
The ceremony was hosted by Hu Shixiang, the vice-minister of
the Central Equipment Bureau. Wang Qishan addressed at
the ceremony.
Besides the flag, other items aboard the Shenzhou V include
China's national flag, the United Nations flag, a Renminbi note,
memorial stamps for China's first manned spaceflight, memorial
envelopes of the manned space flight project and crop
seeds from China's Taiwan Island. As informed, all these items
were handed over to relevant units at the ceremony. |
