More
than half a million Olympic coins in the hands of collectors.
The IOC Centennial Coin Program came to a successful conclusion
on December 31, 1996. These first ever IOC sponsored coins were
well received by collectors from at least 40 different countries
and as a result more than 90,000 gold and 500,000 silver coins
are now in the hands of Olympic coin collectors.
The series of centennial of IOC commemorative coins began in
1992 and finished in Dec. 31, 1996. This series of commemorative
coins were firstly issued and authorized by the IOC. By now,
collectors from more than forty countries have got the precious
commemorative coins. |
