The People’s Bank of China will issue a general
commemorative coin for the centennial of the birth of Chenyun on June
13, 2005.
I. Design on the coin
The obverse design features Chenyun’s former residence in Shanghai,
on the upper edge engraves the title of the PRC--- ‘中华人民共和国’, on the
lower edge engraves characters ‘上海青浦陈云故居’, ‘壹圆’, and ‘2005’; the reverse
design features the effigy of Chenyun, on the upper edge engraves
characters ‘陈云诞辰100周年’ and ‘1905-2005’.
II. The face value, specification, material, and mintage
The nickel plated steel coin is 1 Yuan in face value, 25mm in diameter,
the mintage is 10000000 pieces.
III. The general coin functions equally with Renminbi currently
in circulation, and is equivalent to Renminbi bears the same denomination. |
