Deng Xiaoping was born on August 22nd
1904, and died on February 19th 1997. Deng Xiaoping was
a great Marxist and proletarian revolutionary. His contribution
to the founding and development of the Chinese Communist
Party and Chinese People's Liberation Army, the triumph
of the liberation of all nationalities in China, the founding
of the People's Republic and the development of economy
in China was essential to the success of these undertakings.
In order to commemorate the great leader of the Chinese
people, the People's Bank of China will issue a set of
commemorative coins to mark the centenary of his birth.
The set consists of 4 coins, 2 in gold, and 2 in silver. |
