Panda, the national treasure of China, has gained world fame for its charming figure, meek character and naive posture. The People’s Bank of China first issued Precious Metal Commemorative Coins under the theme of Panda in 1982. Chinese Panda Coin has attracted the attention of the world and become a famous item among Chinese Precious Metal Commemorative Coins as well as one of the five major investment coins in the international coin market. Panda Coins are unique in themes, skillful in designs, exquisite in minting, standard in purity, altering in patterns and complete in specifications.
2006 Panda Gold and Silver Commemorative Coin, with reverse design of Panda eating bamboo, started to be issued in Dec. 2005. This set of Commemorative Coins consists of 17 coins, including 10 gold coins, 7 silver coins.
